Errr... This Should Have Been Posted Like Last Week.

Sorry that this is a little bit late in posting. 

 

CONGRATULATIONS to all of you that came out to the UGA Math Tournament Last Weekend.  You all did a really fantastic job.  Krisha Desai took 23rd place, Anirudh Sundaraghavan took 40th place, and Josh Stransky placed 56th.  Everybody who came out performed really well which was demonstrated in our A-team's 11th Place Finish and our B-team's 17th(?) Place Finish!  Out of 89 teams, this is superb!  :)

 

Also, this is a reminder that the second GML is on Tuesday 11/18 from 4:00 to 4:30!  Be there!

Our next tournament will be the Lassiter High School Tournament on December 6th.  We will be taking a team of 8 JV Students and 8 Varsity Students.

Some Vague Title

Hey guys!

 

Congratulations to all of you that attended the Rockdale Mathematics Competition on Saturday!  You may not have all won trophies, but it was a really solid effort and a great start to the new math team season.  :)  Our Varsity and JV Teams both took 6th place in their respective divisions, and that is really excellent!  I hope that we continue to see improvement and success in all of you!  :)

 

Also, this is a reminder about the UGA Math Tournament.  It will be held this Saturday, November 8th, at the University of Georgia.  We will be meeting at Milton High School (13025 Birmingham Hwy, Milton, GA 30004) at 6:30 AM.  We will be taking the eight students that signed up at practice today.  I will post that list tomorrow on the website.  Make sure on Saturday, you have your permission form and a calculator!  Without the permission form, you will not be able to go to the tournament, and without the calculator, you might fail at math.  That is not a good thing. :/

 

I hope to see those eight bright and early on Saturday morning, and to the rest of you, I will see you at practice next week! Remember, if you cannot make the competition this weekend, we will have plenty more opportunities throughout the school year.  You can view all upcoming dates if you click the Calendar tab on this website.

Hey kids!

Please pick up permission slips for the Kennesaw competition tomorrow and get them signed prior to 6th period (no parent's signature required)!  We will be taking the written test during 6th and 7th period tomorrow (October 29) in room 4206!
